My last try is unless you are going paved roads everywhere stay away from the 2wd model. If you can find one of these 4wd it would be useful and a fun project. I have seen these have to get towed down roads and even out of camp after even the lightest of rain. They just don't get any traction...

I think you will find this to be a good platform. I added the decked bed system, a rack, 35s and new 18" rims, GMRS, spod, fridge, self built battery bank with solar and alternator charging all to my own 2500. Just turned 49k on my 2500 and still seem to be in good shape.

Looks good. Great idea on the pegboard option. Only advice I can pass on is I have had issues with the fuel cans leaking just a bit of fuel. I have found the "o-rings" tear and do not seat well and you have to be very diligent on tightening them down.

Yes about the phone to share and save routes. I think this has some potential as a good gadget. I use a ton of garmin stuff and like that they make their stuff work together. I am assuming you will need to use the explore app or earthmate app for the routes if you want to share them or download...
