Have a second set of hands to help out as the thing is big and awkward sized. Also instructions tell you to discard the plastic splash shields but I did not like how open it left the wheel well areas so I just trimmed the bottom of them and reinstalled them.
Installed some armor on the car.
Engine and transmission primitive racing skid plates, hopefully will have the time this weekend to install the rear diff skid plate.

I prefer to just sleep in the car. We built a pretty comfy setup and its great for places that have high winds. Also makes camp setup and breakdown much quicker.
The Forester keeps impressing me with how capable it is on and off the road.
Love being able to cruise at 75 loaded down and getting 23 mpg and still being able to do some rougher stuff.
My ARB 2000 awning and Yakima shovel mount came just in time for my Mendocino National Forest trip so I spent Thursday making some brackets for the awning to mount it to the side of the Yakima Loadwarrior basket and than headed out to Mendocino to test the setup out.
