Thanks they do make kits with brackets that mount to the fender in the hood gap like the cb antenna mounts

Looks like i forgot to mention the canvas i used was a heavy duty canvas drop cloth $26 from the painting section at home depot i plan on water proofing it there are products out there for about $30 to do that

Yes i took the telescoping legs from the quick shade i am only 5'10" tall so there is plenty of room for me lol but you could put a pole in the center it is about 9'X10' and mounted on the top bar of the roof rack

This shot shows the overall i used 1" pvc pipe that i cut a 1/2" section out of but i think i will get another piece of Unistrut just like the other side it slides much better

Sorry it took me so long to get more pictures but i have been on vacation and honestly didn't want to do anything so this picture shows the Unistrut that i used for a Channel so the quick shade frame could extend it has 1/4" bolts ran through it to keep it in the channel and the ends are fixed...
So today i went to home depot and spent $22 on the parts to make limb lifters and it only took about 30 minutes to install after looking up the kits online they where about $175 with about the same install time so i highly recommend doing it you're self

The supports are from a old quick shade that had been broken but could be made from electrical conduit. It is a little bulky when folded up but i still have a lot of extra canvas i need to trim off i will get pictures of it folded up thanks for the support everyone now my wife can't call me...
I will get some better pictures and parts list when i get back from a business trip i am in the bay area right now

So i just started to build a awning so far i have spent $48 at home depot and an hour and a half this is what i have so far it isn't done but i think it is a good start i would like to know what you all think

They are notorious for head gasket and if you know how to do one it is a 20 hour job the key is to not let them overheat if the dash light comes on its to late but when they run nothing beats them

Those look like a good choice for a high mileage all terrain type Tire I will have to look into those or my wife's lr3 since she just brought to my attention it will need new tires soon keep us posted on how they do

Emblem looks great she's pretty i don't know about those products but i recommend a good set of all terrain tires if you plan I'm leaving the pavement great 4 wheel drive platform but tires can make or break you you
