Joe here, 10411
I just completed a HAM class , looking for ideas on a ham unit to expand our communications and mapping needs for longer trips. Looking for some suggestions .
Joe.
What trails are you taking? hit Baby Lions Back, Arches, Pucker Pass, White Rim to Musclemans. All great places.
Good luck, wish we were going with you.
Looks like a nice rig. Do some research on the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail. It is a nice run and close. 600 miles or so one way. We are trying to get an active group together near Cedar Rapids Iowa, keep an eye out for us, you would be welcome.
Joe.
Welcome, Joe here. Glad to have you on the site. We do make a trip to various trails from time to time. We will let you know when we hit the trail again. It's always nice to have folks along. Hoping to make near 10,000 miles this year on the trails.
I use a standard GPS, but when I did the Trans American Trail I used a trail card insert, it worked very well. We also use a Wisconsin atlas, more detail. Your JK will handle the Wisconsin Trail easily. The last time we did it we had a sprinter van in the group and altered the route a bit. It...

We are going to attempt the TAT from Elsinore Utah to Port Orford Oregon. Can anyone say if the trail might be open that time of year? We have three vehicles going , room for more if anyone is interested.
Also going to Alaska after that, up on the ferry to Ankorage, Fairbanks to the Artic...
Anyone know if from Elsinore Utah to Port Orford Oregon the Trans American trail would be open by the middle of May?
We want to finish out the trail . We have three vehicle's going now and open for 1 or two more if anyone would like to go.
Joe.
I also have an off road trailer. I elected not to take it on the TAT. I did run into several places it would have been a monster challenge to get it through, and I prefer the trailer. Just think about it. If you take it let me know how it went. I was hoping to take mine at first.
