Hey Terry. Where are you on your adventure?
We got seriously lost coming back through Utah. Tried the Rim Rocker trail between Moab and Colorado. Finally found a main road. Now in Montrose, CO. Headed to Yankee Boy Basin in the morning.
Be safe and make memories
Fin and Things is not for the beginner. Huge steep down slick rock with tight right turn at bottom is just one obstacle. Be careful. It was too much for me. Bailed out at first chance.
I just put 11,000 on my BFG KM3s. All hard driving thro7gh Canada and Alaska to Deadhorse. Bad roads with demon potholes. Still on tne road in Idaho. No damage to report.
The road between Fairbanks and Coldfoot is treacherous! Over confidence will cause you to break something. The pot holes come in herds - without warning.
Valdez, etc. are huge tourist destinations for cruise ships.
2 pieces of FRIED Haddock and French fries = $44.50 in Valdeze.
Gas = $5.50 per gallon in Coldfoot, AK.
There us no drinking water for purchase in Deadhorse. Make sure you take enough for the round trip.
LOVED THE ADVENTURE!
Out of Alaska! It averaged us $1.00 per mile from Canadian Border to Dead horse camp and back to lower 48 border. Just got to Mount St. Helens. Much cheaper here. Just turned 10,756 miles. Doing the dispersed camping thing. Way awesome!
BC is loaded with bears. Saw 16 black and 6 brown. Tons of...

Okay. We are packed, tested, check list checked, and ready. Arrived in Glacier NP yesterday. All systems go. Headed to border tomorrow.
We will start posting pics tomorrow and keep everyone posted on our successes and failures too.
Okay. I checked it out. It i s an amazing secluded spot. Waters edge under massive trees. Gravel surface. No mud. Plenty of firewood / driftwood. Two camp locations. One small and right on the beach. The second under the trees. The spot under the trees is large enough for a small intimate group...
Fishing bell and 550 cord will give you early warning. I blutoothed my SPOD to my phone so I can turn on all of the truck's exterior lighting at once if it rings in the night.
Low tech but works. You could also tie in a bear popper too.
I texted him but he never responded. No cell service up there. Maybe he stayed. Lol. We supposed to go up there Friday, but it is supposed to STORM. Might not be able to get down a 300 level road. Probably will rain us out. I will post my findings.
