Not too much going on. The hitch for my rear bumper arrived last week so I'll have to paint and throw that on soon.
Other than that nothing new and exciting just yet, here's a random wintry picture of the truck.
I also got bored over the holidays and started a new project. I found a 10...
Most of LBL is pretty scenic, and there’s plenty of light off-roading outside of turkey bay.
The 100 level roads are paved, the 200 roads are mostly maintained gravel, and the 300 level roads are dirt and not really maintained. You should be able to buy a map at the welcome office. There’s some...
Decided to hit up the Tennessee Dirt Devil during the peak of the leaves changing, and it was gorgeous. We drove down Natchez Trace, covered over 100 miles of the Dirt Devil, and did about half a dozen water crossings. Here's a few of the photos we took this trip.
The TN Dirt Devil didn't disappoint, had a good time with @GhostWanderer and another buddy, we drove down Natchez Trace, covered over 100 miles of the dirt devil, and probably did about half a dozen water crossings. I went ahead and shelled out for the map so I'm hoping to go back and get to...
Looks like I'll be hitting the dirt devil around 10:30 or 11am tomorrow, I'm meeting up with another guy along the way, let me know if you want to go look at leaves with us.
Victoria and I are going to try and hit up the Tennessee Dirt Devil this weekend if the weather holds. Anyone else interested? We still don’t have any solid plans.
Adventure Offroad Park Oct 11-13:
A couple of weekends back I went to AOP for the first time and had a blast. The park is only a couple hours from me so I'm sure I'll be back, and hopefully soon. Here's some of the pictures we got.
My wife randomly ordered me a new third brake light, and since the ones on our 2nd gen Tacomas still look like they're from 95 I went ahead and installed it today.
The stock housing, wasn't expecting it to take a star bit.
After I unscrewed it I used a flathead screwdriver to pry it up a bit...
Thanks! Hendersonville has been pretty good to us, we just moved here a few years ago. There’s a lot of cool places to visit within a pretty short drive.
Installed my new rear bumper, planning to test it out at AOP next weekend.
I’ve got more pics in my build thread https://www.overlandbound.com/forums/threads/2014-tacoma-trd-off-road-spinning-my-wheels-build.12411/#post-263687
Installed my new rear bumper last night, I did it with basic hand tools by myself, but an extra set of hands would've made this a lot easier.
First I removed the old bumper which took about an hour.
Then I put the new one on using a jack, a couple stands, and some odd yoga poses.
As...
Finally checked out the TN Dirt Devil, it was a nice drive, we only did about 120 miles of it and spent about 4 1/2 hours driving around the back roads of Tennessee.
it was a good time just riding through the country.
