I have owned many Nissans, as my brother-in-law sells them, and I can say that the Frontiers are good, and unlike the Tacomas they come with 4 wheel disc break standard. I have owned 2, a 2000 and a 2017 4x4 and both were very reliable.
I assume you used wheel spacers? or was the new axle you used wider?

when I get mine (manufactured) I planed on mounting the spare on either the side or rear but I like what you did with it.

It is NOT good looking, but it has lots and lots of torque and payload ability, the range is great too.
