Realized I forgot to put some rubber grommets on my primary radiator when I reinstalled it 3 days ago. Managed to wiggle it all around until I got them slipped on.
Glad I was able to get them on without completely draining both cooling systems and tearing everything back out.
So I’ve changed out a decent amount of stuff since my last update. Overall the truck seems way way more capable and even more enjoyable to drive.
First thing was the addition of a Carli 2.5 pintop kit with the HD Deaver springs. I’ll probably never not have a truck without Carli suspension on...
Pulled both of my radiators out after finding a leak in the secondary one. Ordered up mishimoto primary and secondary replacements and going to do some preventive maintenance while the front of the engine is easily accessible. Just have to wait until parts arrive next week.
I believe the bushings Stryker used for the heims on the end link are around a 3/8s bolt. I got lucky and found some old parts for a cultivator that was laying around my shop and just happened to be a perfect fit. And I haven’t heard a single noise from the end links since adding the pins.
Built some pins so that my truck can have a quick disconnect front sway bar. Overall I feel like they turned out pretty good.
And the end links are from Stryker Off-road Design.
Recent purchases where a 5th method wheel for a spare tire and a Wilco tiregate vt. Think those will round out my rig and should be done until something wears out.
Well that’s disappointing to hear. Was playing with the idea of getting some to fit some larger tires under my truck with a level but the majority of my driving would be gravel roads/ farm roads so probably wouldn’t hold up very well. Thanks for the info though.
I personally went with the ARB Elements fridge. My biggest deciding factor was to be able to leave it in the back of my truck year round and be able to use it at work and it was the only weather resistant one that I found. Also found I need 2 100w panels to keep up with the draw of leaving it on...
There is gas in Stonyford at the small market but expect to pay a dollar or 2 more than the average price. Even Maxwell will be almost a dollar more expensive. Williams would be the best place to top off.
Just thought I’d chime in and say that I was up that way today for the opener of deer season and they have some signage up for the event in Stonyford by the Forest Service place in town and I believe there was a map on it also along with some other written stuff.
Thanks. Nice thing about being a farmer, a lot of the stuff can be used around the farm and I can just swap my tools and camping gear outa the tool boxes whenever I’m doing one or the other.
Got the new RTT mounted up on the truck. Decided with the ikamper skycamp. So far I really like this product and can’t wait for a chance to take it out and use it. And side note I realize it’s on “backwards” but it works for me this way.
