Glad to see someone else sporting a bowtie! I do have a 2015 silverado but I've designated my Trax as my main camping unit.
Chevy is great! They do have flaws and they certainly aren't Toyota, but they perform just as great and have excellent dealership...

I work at a dealership that sells Treeline and I have to say the Tamarack is by far my favorite!
Running out of coffee is for sure one and running out of gas.
I have limited exterior storage (still working on building a bumper) so I can only carry a small fuel can.
It's all live and learn tho. When I'm out in the bush I learn as I go with what I need so I don't ever have to fear not having...
Money, tight budget, and weather!
Yeah that's right.. weather. It really depends here in Canada. One day in the winter it's -5 Celsius and sunshine, the next its -32 Celsius and 15cm of snow.
But the change of weather makes it an interesting challenge.
I'm not sure whats available in the US, but here in Canada we have a great selection of "meatless ground meat".
These Yves "meats" come in portions small enough for 2 and are super easy to pack and take along on trips. I'm hoping to make videos in the near future of how I cook with this yummy...
Like the above posts, I pack the obvious (tool kit, fluids).
I also have a mini air compressor that was like $25 (I'm also just starting out and cant afford major items quite yet).
Tow straps, jack, flares/glow sticks, flashlights. Don't forget a first aid kit!

Great info! I live in Canada so I'm facing snow conditions right now. I also have an awd vehicle so I'm debating which snow recovery piece to purchase first. I do unfortunately have a budget so maxtrax might be out of the picture for now.
