I looked into it and showed my wife. If there still seats available the day we go, we are going to be doing this. looks like a great way to see some sights.
On a side note, as someone who did not travel much when i as younger, I am excited for this trip
We will definitely consider that. Is the rail a round trip ride? Going for a ride instead of driving would allow for more time to enjoy the views.
Thank you again for the suggestions and replies.
Thank you for all the suggestions. There is definitely enough to warrant more than one trip to Arizona, no way i can fit all these into one trip. The ghost town near Benson, on the way to Tombstone, i'm sure will be very high on the list of things to see. I'm certain that my wife will absolutely...
I'm going to be heading on road trip through Arizona a few weeks, and I was wondering if any one had any suggestions. I plan on making the drive to Benson from Central California on the first day. Long drive yes, but i won't be the only driver and we will be making stops as needed for food or to...
@Wawa Skittletits I really enjoy what you have done with your Outback. It has giving me some good ideas now that I am at a point where I can start making some upgrades to mine.
I have a couple questions though, and hopefully i didn't just miss them in the thread: First) How well are the tires...
I was not able to open the photos in the forum you linked me to. But looking at their build list and some of the comments, is it a pipe stand? Kinda looks like a goal post?
Did you find a suitable solution to the stands? I was recently given a hammock (I wouldn't use it camping though) that I would love to set up in the spare bedroom. I would like to make it easily portable from room to room though, so I was thinking that some sort of DIY project would be my best...
Like a lot of others, money is a part of it. I'm new to overlanding and do not have much gear beyond some basic camp gear. My Outback is almost completely stock and I do not have the extra money available to use for making modifications. Time and budget will solve this though.
The big issue for...
I am enjoying seeing all the builds in this thread. Plenty of info and possible ideas to consider.
This is my '12 Outback. Completely stock with the exception of the tow hitch I added. It takes me fishing and every where else i need to go. Hope to use it to new fishing and camping next year.
I...
Definitely looking forward to seeing the progress on your rig. I purchased a 2012 OB 3.6R. I bought with ideas in mind as well, I just want to get out and do some exploring. It is completely stock for now. I think the first thing to change will be tires.
Looks like it was a great trip. Yosemite is only only a few hours from me. Would you mind letting me know which trail/roads you were on? Also, was the trail difficult at all? My Outback is completely stock still.
