OB Approved CO2 vs. Air Compressors

Overlanding is expensive to get in to. I always used to chance it with almost nothing in the repair and recovery category. This little guy should do the trick till I decide what ARB portable set up I want. Edit. Returned the viair for an ARB. I’m much happier with the performance.

    Truck Bed Tent?

I had a truck bed tent when i had my 03 Tacoma. It was AMAZING getting off the ground. The only thing that was frustrating was unloading nearly everything to get the tent set up and us into the bed of the truck. I only mention this because you expressed this concern in your comment. The...

    Coffee Set Ups

I heat up roughly 14 oz of water then start to pour into the aeropress and let the coffee gravity drip till I’ve poured all of the water. Once I have poured all the water I start the brew process with the aeropress full of water. It makes for a pretty good cup o joe.

Those mats are cool. When I used to backpack before kids I would hammock camp. I've got a warbonnet hammock. I'm sure when the kids get a bit older I'll be booted from the tent and into the hammock. The hammock took a few trips to get used to but I did like being off the ground.

Welp, I just took the plunge and got a T4 in green (194.99 OTD). Should be light years ahead of setting up the REI Base camp.

The Megamat is next level awesomness. If we go this route I wont regret one bit. The kids certainly don't need this but my wife would love a big mat!

    Sleep System

Im glad you recommended Klymit. I have one of the backpacking pads and it was pretty awesome the few times I've used it. I'll definitely put one of the kids on it next time we go out. I'll grab it from the backpacking box and put it in the overlanding boxes. As for the specific pad you...

    Sleep System

I am curious what people are using for their sleeping pads in a ground tent. I have always used a few flimsy pads piled up with questionable comfort. After researching thicker pads I am finding that they are quite expensive. I have a family of 5 and am looking for comfort. A large full or queen...

Places to See in New Mexico

Most of our mountains will be or are already covered in snow. There is some BLM land near the cabazon peak area off of hwy 550 that is fun to explore in the winter. If u are doing some long term planning the mountains should be passable in the late spring time. Lifestyle overland has free routs...

Good to know, I'll need to get up there soon. Are the camping spots spread out or is it all centrally located. I like to camp just with the group I'm with and not be by others if possible. I'm sure most of us share the same interests in camping spots.

Wow that looks fun. Any fish to be had at Goose lake? My wifes 5th gen 4Runner is still lacking tires as I'm savin for suspension and a few odds and ends. She's a bit picky about what suspension will do to the ride as it's her DD/kid hauler. Unfortunately for my pocket book OME just isn't...
