I want to thank everyone on this site. Everyone is very helpful. I know I’m asking some stupid questions and everyone has been great about answering them. This is the first time I’ve actually been able to work on a vehicle and it’s nice to know there are helpful people out there.

Good News the place passed the Jeep. The woman pushed them and they overlooked the lift and the aftermarket headlights. Next year I’ll find a different place for inspection. Hoping to be out of Mass.

Thank you, I never thought about going to the Junkyard to practice and see what my XJ looks like dissembled and to practice what I need to come off. I do watch BleepinJeep and Outjeepin. Those 2 seem to be the most informative.

That looks like a well put together set. I’ll have to see about that type of case. My wife thinks I should get a 3 drawer box and leave it in the Jeep.

I will try Craigslist. I have been looking on Facebook Market Place. My wife has been having good luck buying stuff on that.

What the shop is saying it’s to tall. Apparently the lift can only be 2” at the lower part of the door. I see vehicles a lot taller then mine with inspection stickers. Fortunately the Jeep doesn’t have to pass emissions just safety. The last vehicle that I did any work to was my 86 F150. Put a body lift 33s and Bushwacker flares. Never had a issue

I’ll have to check it out. I wasn’t thinking about it because of all the lifted Jeeps I see driving around.

Does anyone have any trouble getting their vehicles inspected? I just bought a 2000 Jeep Cherokee with a 4.5 lift on it. It’s in the shop having some work done. At the moment I can’t do my own wrenching due to a bad injury. Shop is saying that they might not pass it due to the lift. I see...
