I’m hoping to get my brother and his 3rd gen to come and join. But realistically wanted to get my two boys with me and play with our new to us RTT which means a Saturday morning meet-up for me personally. If you guys are gung-ho for Friday don’t change on our account!
Yes I'm guessing Hull and other peaks received some! According to the other page with with BDT, from Upper Lake all the way through following their trail, out to Covelo is 167 miles. That's a pretty healthy drive. The roads/trails must be pretty fast fire roads I'm guessing.
I haven’t met the North Bay group yet either but did a few things with East Bay! So I’m hoping that weekend will work out for my schedule.
But any more thinking on the “where”?
Nice. I did pre-run from Napa all the way up to Middle Creek Campground at the base of Mendocino NF to see what it would be like to drive that route into the Lake and up to Hull. I think there's a MNF BDC now for that area would be fun for this local group for a Rally Point sometime.
Guess I lost my last post. Yes I ran my first OB trip to Uncle Tom’s Cabin with the East Bay group run by @PapaDave. It was an awesome and relaxed run. Not much snow at that trip.
Then ran a much more challenging trip with my Nor Cal Land Rover Club to Bald Mountain. I was at the limit but...
Just saw this too. I'll be camping at Sue-meg in July so looks like will need to navigate permitting. Went then a few summers back BC and yeah, despite a small water crossing, place was jam-packed
Had a great time at my first meeting and learning a ton about winching from the crew. Went ahead and pulled the trigger on membership too! #30747 here. Thanks everyone for welcoming a non-Jeep non Yota guy.
Tom’s Cabin was my first meetup and looking forward to learning more about recovery. Besides, isn’t this why DVR was invented?? Hope to meet up Sunday. Also you could always bump forward an hour if people have plans.
