Been slow on the progress of the LuX450 as I've been devoting time on my 93 Crawler to get ready for Rubicon. I did finally install my badge on the LuX450 and my Gobi Ladder.
See Post #151 for schedule.

Bay Area guys meet @ Gilroy Starbucks @ 7AM Friday
It would probably have been fine if you aired down and drove slower. Keep in mind it's an old tire and called a spare for a reason. Drive slower and more careful with spares if they are old.
This is what sold my wife too. Kids and wife first event. I tried to get the wife to do Hollister a few months ago and no go. Even tried to get her to go to the Marlin Crawler Rubicon Roundup event (weekend before OG2) and no go.
OG2 is a little pricey compared to other events, but I got the...
I've seen plenty of pics of pelican cases for recovery gear. Seems like an expensive case for recovery gear tho. I rather put my guns in my pelican case then recovery gear. I'm fine with my small tool bag loaded with recovery gear. I'm able to squeeze a snatch block, tow strap, snatch strap, 6...
I stood on mine and while it holds my weight I wouldn't want to jump up and down the test how strong it is. I ran a small bead of silicone over the lid and it had a nice snug fit now. I'm guessing it will be fairly water resistant and will keep fine dust out.
Bought 3 of these a few days ago. Got tired of waiting for a deal. The cheapest I found anywhere on the net. This is the water resistant Sportsman 1919 model with the gasket in black color.

Prior to me adding the armour, sliders, gobi rack and 35s. The worst i got was 12mpg. Adding the stuff now makes it 10.5 mpg at the very worst crusing at 80 mph. If I stay under 70mph I can get 12.5 mpg.[emoji45]
Registered for OTG2. I'm in for the San Jose and can meet at a South Bay rally point depending on time. Taking the FZJ80 and will need some frequent gas stops to fill up the old guzzler. I get maybe 10-11 mpg if i'm lucky fully loaded. Maybe 13-14 if I stay off the skinny pedal.
I would fix it and spend the money on a Gobi, snorkel and etc. When and if you have the money just buy a new one then. If you plan on fixing it. Leave it mounted on your car. Use a shop rack/lift/tow truck/fork lift to straighten her out. That's how I fixed my ARB. Either that or use a tow trap...
I won't be going till super late Friday night and will be night wheeling. Will be my first time wheeling Rubicon myself and also my first time night wheeling. By buddy will be my spotter as he's gone before and has experienced wheeling Rubicon in the night. I suggest you get an experience...
4x4Labs.com Front and Rear Swing out bumpers ordered. ARB bumper will be sold once I get the new bumpers installed.
Next in queue for the LuX450 was the Front and Rear ARB lockers and 4.88 regear. But this may have to wait now because I have an offer from my buddy for a fully built 93 Toy...
I need to figure out if I can go to OTG2. If the wife will let me go, then I'll be down for the mini convoy. I'm in SJ and can meet up with Mike G and the other South Bay members.
I want to go bad but I'm going to the Marlin Crawler Roundup (Rubicon) event the weekend before with a bunch of buddies. Anyone happen to going to MC 15th Annual Roundup? Trying to convince the wife to go and bring the kids and we'll take the FZJ80. FZJ80 isnt ready for hard trails yet and still...
Been too busy lately but I did install the steering wheel wrap. Bought used sliders for 300 and installed them myself. Then installed my used ARB safari snorkel.
