So I have almost completed the National Luna Fridge/Freezer tie down modification. I took the flat fold out bench under the rear seats and installed tie down points. From there I went back with the Eye-bolts and sewed straps that will be custom cut to length with velcro. This is what I have thus far
While I admit that the fuel economy is not the best. Getting 12mpg around town. Have not tracked a full highway number just yet. I will have that information soon though. Those numbers will change a little too when I add on the K&N air filter.
So I went off the information I saw on the inter webs and moved to purchase BFG 34x11.5's for my 2014 Ram Power Wagon. After telling the shop, they ordered 34x12.5 R17 BFG's. Partly my fault in that I didn't double check them coming off the lot. Thinking I had the 11.5's it turns out that I have...
Finally got the bed rack finished and the tent mounted up... let the adventures begin...
Things left on the project list:
* Install the compressor
* Install the dual battery system
* Install the mounting hardware for the National Luna Fridge/Freezer
* Have the winch cable replace by the...
While its not much.... I took the bed rack up to the fabricators to have it modified a bit so that it would fit the PW. The plan is to pick it up tomorrow. After that I will be able to mount the CVT Roof Top Tent. In the mean time... a little teaser from the down time that I had yesterday.
How about this one? I am looking to black out the "chrome" on the grill, leaving the red accents... black to match the mat black on the bumper.
Great appreciation in advance!!!! Thanks dmurph1996
By chance are there any Photoshop gurus that can digitally black out the chrome for me so I can get a better idea as to what it would look like with the red accents?
The recovery points are SOLID!!! Serious meat there! Not to mention the recovery point is all one piece and the bottom of the recovery point is a skid pad.
Well, the bumper is done, the rims and tires are spinning and I am onto the next stage of the build. Next up... get the dealership to replace the factory winch cable that was jacked up beyond measure and to start working on the bed rack for the tent...
Another goodie arrived in the mail today... any suggestions for mounting locations? Right now I am looking at installing it under the passenger seat where the factory jack is. Figure the compressor could go there and then the switch and air line quick disconnect could go on the access cover on...
Todays update: The AEV Bumper is coming along smartly. Considering that I am a one man band stand with a broken right (dominant) hand right now I think I am making pretty good progress. I am probably about 2 hours away from being done with the bumper. Figure that will be finished tomorrow...
The bed rack hold the CVT Mt McKinely tent and the CVT Awning... The difference with the old truck to the ram is that the CVT tent should be tall enough to have headroom clearance when the tent is deployed. Unfortunately its not going to fit into the garage like I was hoping for. If I can manage...
Tomorrow is/should be the AEV Katla Rims and BFG All Terrain T/A KO2's with Sunday being the AEV Front Bumper while hopefully on Saturday I will be able to catch up with the fab shop so that I can get the custom bed-rack fitted to the RAM... going to trim the weight on this one down a bit...
