I don't want to bash anyone's product, I just know what my thoughts are from what I've used. I have never heard of poles snapping nor zippers malfunctioning on OzTents but I guess anything is possible. For both to happen to you in your backyard seems terribly unlucky..... For me, I am over 120...
I went one step cheaper, I just bought the bag and stuffed it with rags so everyone would know how cool I am but without all the weight. Instead of a hood ornament I guess it would be called...a rack ornament........
I do not agree with money being part of the popularity. I have a used RV-3 and paid no where close to new pricing and it is hands down the best quality tent I have ever seen or heard about.
Buy once, cry once, I will be handing mine down to the next generation of Overlanders.
I totally agree. Our aircraft all use Halon based pots protecting millions of dollars of exotic metals and hard to replace or irreplaceable parts. You have to protect your life and property the best way you can. Purple K is not allowed into our hangars nor around our aircraft, period.
I did not see where @bshagopian talked about Purple-K but I would seriously read up on the properties of Purple-K before buying, using, or recommending it. Like I stated before in this thread, it is highly corrosive to aluminum. We took down all 12 of our Purple-K extinguishers in our hangars...
Along with my failing memory and misplacing the brochures I collected at Expo West this year, I cannot remember the name of the company that provides windows, doors, vents, etc... for DIY trailer, camper, or habitat builders. They were on the end of one of the rows close to where the featured...
I contacted a Amateur radio club in Plano and they were all about the traditional/conventional route, taking way too long to hold my attention. I did try to explain the concept of "One Night Cram & Test" but they were not listening nor interested. But if this does take off and we decide to do...
Has anyone wanted to get your Ham Radio Licences , but:
...didn't have the time.
...didn't want to learn Morse Code.
...just want to learn the skill without it consuming your life.
Michael, at Overland Bound, put out a video some time back explaining a event called a Ham Cram where people meet...
That looks like the parking lot in front of Uncle Buck's at Bass Pro Shops in Grapevine, Texas.
Rallypoint says the meet-up is at Humperdink's in Arlington, correct?
When I bought my trailer it had a small tank mounted to the back of the passenger fender. I bought an extra 11lb tank so as not to run out.
Coming back from Overland West I took the slow route through southern Colorado, cooked every night and day, heated water for showers, let the lantern run...
I am reworking a V6 Dauntless now for a CJ-6 build I am doing for my brother. I am anxious to get it running because I'm told they sound like little tractors and for some reason the odd firing order contributes to its sound.
From your picture it looks like you have 2 connections that just push on and 2 that have a trigger that you hold as your pushing them on the valve stem then let go? Am I missing something?
Take a look on Craigslist for a used 20 pound container, anywhere from $20 to $60 around Dallas, Texas. Restaurant used equipment seller will have some from old soda machines. Then source a 150psi fixed regulator and an in-line adjustable regulator so you can adjust down for air tools. I use a...
