    Arkansas "helped" Build not Bought

One of the best things about Overland Bound is the people that you meet on here. In the past year+ some of the best friends I have in this life I have met on here and subsequently have traveled all over with. In that period of time we have tried many methods of what we do and have swapped...

    Ouachita National Forest Maps

That site is really good for at home use, but it is sketchy when you get out where there is no service. Gaia has a great service and offers the layer of the MVUM which shows which roads/trails are available even where there is no cell service. I have used both and rely on the government site...

Little Girl the 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser

With all of the fires we build and shoveling coals for the dutch ovens, I went to the local Ace Hardware and bought myself a mini shovel. I then bought a couple long bolts to modify a mounting way on using monkey fists on my garvin rack. It is nicely located out of the way of my rotopax and is...

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

Flagpole to go so I can show my colors wherever I am. I hope to buy a Southwest Disc Cooker before too long. Maybe he will do a Black Friday sale!

    Coffee Set Ups

Sometimes I go old school with my Drip-o-lator from the 1920's. Its better if you make cowboy coffee with it and pour all of it through the drip o lator to separate the grounds. So good.

Post a pic, make a new photo challenge!

Front and rear bumpers for Black Friday. Got a heck of a deal from 4 wheel parts. Funny thing is that this started a long process. The bumpers were so heavy it sat my front end down on the bump stops. So came a lift. Then the rear was so low people thought I was bright lighting them. So...

    Arkansas needs a long trail

Problem is that we have 2 National Forests and most trails and dirt roads run from east to west. There are many good trails, but linking them all together really doesn't get you anywhere or from point A to point B. They mainly just all connect to each other or take you from highway to highway...

    Bourbon Trail

The wife and I went out to the Lexington area this past summer in July. I also looked around for trails to take and I downloaded some on the gaia app. Here is the link to what others sent to me Kentucky Trails I wasn't able to do any of these trails as time did not permit and they were kinda...

    The Ozarks

There is a ton of traffic on Natural State Overland on Facebook if you want to ask there. As far as I know there have been a ton of posts about guys getting out and doing some trails so they are fine. I haven't heard otherwise. We will be having the Rendezvous this coming weekend and should...

    Ideas for next summer...

We did all of the major trails which was only about 8 trails in 5 days. But I stopped at the local gas fillup in Silverton and bought the trail book and there is about 60 trails in there. I guess most of them do not receive the recognition that others do so we definitely will go back. I will...

Little Girl the 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser

After several outings with our current setup I decided that we needed to cut back on the amount of gear and do our best to try and save some space. While we were at the beach last week camping I took one of my Pelican Cases (1620 I believe) and tried to fit it in the back of the FJ beside the...

    Northwest Arkansas Overlanders Meetup/Daytrip

Very cool. It's going to be tough for us with going to South Texas this weekend and then attending the Cottonland Southern Cruiser Crawl in Hot Springs the next weekend and then Rendezvous the next but we will make it. Fortunately me for me I am off that Friday so we will be coming up Friday...
