Flagpole has a bunch of campsites.
Also you can camp on top. Union springs as a great camp site that’s on our video. Meadow knob. It’s breathtaking. The base of flagpole fills up quick but thins out the closer you get to the top. I would go with meadow knob on union springs. It’s about 2/3...
Last time we did flagpole it was closed to vehicle traffic due to storm damage. What you can hike to the Summit. Should also check out Union Springs Trail we put up a video on her YouTube channel. On the way up the flagpole there is a few spots that you can camp.

Bluestone Overland is out on another adventure in Shenandoah Valley Virginia. Union Springs is one of our hometown trails just outside of Harrisonburg VA in the George Washington National Forest. The trail starts at Springs Run Road and ends at Flagpole Knob.
