Armor at first. 2 or 3 inch of ground clearance won‘t help you out there if your transfer or gearbox fails after getting hit.

i got a immobilizer. and i‘ll never leave equipment in the car when not on a trip. The RTT and other equipment on the roof is secured with padlocks to the roofrack thats also locked.

both options are available. You can use your own car, or you can rent Land Rover Defender 90 or 110 or Mercedes G-Classes. But renting an offroad-car is really expensive.
Price for your driving with your own car plus two nights at the camp-site at the park would be total 45 €.
