Yes! You’re my one and only trustworthy guide for trails where my big boy Tundra could actually fit. Hopefully we can do some trails soon. I’ll be out of town for a few weeks though. Should plan something for August-September.
Hey, as a last resort you know that both Taskers Gap and Blackwater State Park have trails that are fun but moderate enough that you can comfortably go wheeling solo.
I’d say that’s my family’s favorite camping spot TBH. Except for the fact that I’ve gotten both poison ivy and chiggers on two separate occasions. The one negative to that campsite is how difficult it is to gather firewood.
‘13 Toyota Tundra here. Trails out here on the East coast are usually tight and made for Jeeps. So be ready for pin striping if you go out without an experienced guide.

Hey, I just finished programming both radios using the cable, the CHIRP software, and this list of frequencies (which is basically EVERYTHING for use on a worst case scenario)...
I saved a guide video on YouTube with a full list of the frequencies to program for GMRS and FRS which is all I care about so that’s what I’m gonna follow. Haven’t had a chance to get on it yet but I’ll let you know when I do, either tomorrow or Wednesday hopefully.
And yeah, I got the 8 watt...
I just got a pair of Baofengs too. The programming cable just arrived in the mail. Gonna configure them this week and test them out with my son skiing at Snowshoe this weekend. From experience FRS radios are pretty shitty at ski resorts. Hoping for a big improvement.
I’d say basic built-in are CB and handhelds are generally walkie talkies. CB is crappy clarity though. And walkies are crappy range.
I was looking for something that would work on trail or doing other stuff like hiking or skiing, so I picked up 2 GMRS radios that can be configured to use...
EVENT SUGGESTION - NON WHEELING
Check out this DC Ski Bus day trip to Whitetail. I'm gonna hit this up this year now that my son is old enough to come with me and I prefer company when heading to the mountains. Plus I have't been on my board in years so I'm itching to carve. Anyway, since...
