Cool beanie weenies. Glad I could throw in an idea for yea.
You have a lot of us following this build, we want to see this baby go!
As for the fuel filter. Remember this... if you ever run out of fuel, you will get to know the priming bulb/plunger well.
Just when it gets harder to push, keep...
Rite rite.
Just trying to save you some time, priming. Trust me when I say your thumb and palm will hurt after a short time priming. Haha.
Doing this on the larger 6 piston Cats, Detroit’s an Cummins sucks.
Also, same with the oil filter, pre fill if you can. It lessens the nerves and pain...
You can do the same with the fuel as well. I don’t remember the filter set up on the 4BT, though. But is possible.
We used to use an old fuel cap, drilled and fitted with an air chuck fitting. Place cap on fuel tank or filler neck, pressurize with air (start low and raise pressure as needed)...
One suggestion... Replace the oil pump while in there doing the water pump. it's on the back side of the cover.
Knock it out, so you don't have to go back in at a later date.
Cool deal. and Welcome.
I'm also a Jeeper. Currently have a 14 JKU with a manual (will be going away soon).. Also have a 19 Taco and doing my damnedest to keep it stock.
As said, Check out Tacomaworld for more info. I'm almost positive you will have to do a CMC (Cab mount chop) to fit 34's...
Cool!
You all have fun. I had thought about sneaking up there, but forgot Wife and Daughter are heading out to NYC tomorrow for the weekend. So, that leaves me with doggie to watch.
Side bar, and not to jack up the thread...
Also forgot that his weekend is the Earth day clean up over at...
Hang on now.... You can still run up Union springs. Hit Meadow knob and run back down Dunkle Hollow to Switzer lake, from what I can tell. You just cant access Flag pole.
Edit: I’d call the number in the link to verify first tho.
