Hello Lumpy B, welcome to the OB community. Maybe sometime when we're sitting around a campfire, swaping stories of the day, you can share how you got your name. I like and it's intriguing.
Hello Juan, welcome to OB community and glad you are new to overlanding. The camping overnight is not a requirement to hit the trails, meet fellow members, and enjoy the great outdoors. The camping part only comes into play when you decide you want to do some longer trips in the future. Now...
Welcome to the OB Community. Its a great place to meet fellow overlanders in your area or anywhere you might go. This past year I did Death valley, found some folks that were there, meet them, swapped some stories, and made new friends. Now go find a meetup, a clean-up, or a scheduled trip...
I've read about it, heard about it, and then suddenly I did the trail in Sept 2020. While visiting a friend in NC, he suggested we go do a trail, it turned out to be Huricane Creek. It had rained and made it a little slick, but all the more fun. Thanks for mentioning the trail; I recommend it.
Does anyone know if there is a BDR route for Texas from north to south or if one is in the works?
And then part 2 is... if not, who is interested in helping me piece one together?
As much dirt roads as possible from border to border.
Welcome Josh. I used to own a 2013 FJ, i absolutely loved it and cried for a whole month after selling it. Enjoy it and never give it up. Welcome to OB and glad you're apart of the community. Now go do a trip... meet some people, clean a few trails, and have a great time.
Hello Bryce, great to hear your excitement for Overlanding. I was just in Vegas coming back from 9 days in Death Valley. Hope to cross paths with you in the future.
OK, I see that it only allows me to upload only 1 route, not 3; my bad. Let me combine the routes in GAIA into a single GPX file, then upload that one.
BTW, the GPX files are available on BDR's website for download. And actually... these files are most current because they are constantly...
Interstingly enough you asked... I uploaded all three routes (Utah S->N, Colorado N->S, and the connector route from UT to CO. But when I look at the Rally Point, I'm not sure where these are available to download or view. I'm a rookie at creating Rally Points. Let me look again.
