Show Me Your Chuckboxes/Camp Kitchen Setups

After we got back from vacation up at Mount Rainier National Park the second week of August, I began the hunt for a smaller/lighter chuckbox. I did not rally care for the other wooden offerings on the market, and I was going to pull the expensive trigger on the Kanz Kitchen, but he is pretty...

    New Camping Gear For 2017

Hi Karen, got it from Paul May @ Equipt Expeditions. http://www.equipt1.com/item/bat-270-awning-left-hand-side-driver Thanks, I really like it. I had a regular one from 2008, a Camping Lab one, same as the other Chinese ones like Ironman, ARB, etc. They are kind of a PITA to setup yourself, my...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Worked On The Tent Today Not really the rig, but what resides on the top of it. On our vacation yesterweek to Mount Rainier National Park I chanted out the stock light bulb in the tents 12v housing for an LED one. I attempted to power it up by sliding the switch without putting the plastic...

    New Camping Gear For 2017

Thanks! I talked to Harold Kanz on Sunday, looks like he is no longer making the light weight chuckboxes. Time consuming, and not making enough on them. If he had help it would be better, but for now he is no longer making them, bummer, I wanted to grab one, mine is sooooooooooooooo heavy.

    New Camping Gear For 2017

Thanks man, I noticed over there the words were all spaced out in a few places from copying it from my forum to there. Yes, very happy with the new gear this year. We slept pretty good up there too, as soon as the sun goes down, it starts to cool off. Flannel sheets and a down comforter help...

    New Camping Gear For 2017

On all of the other sites I am on where I have had a camping gear thread since 2008 or so, I was only able to post my whole review today on my forum, as we do not have a text/picture limit set, so I do not want to chance it here. It was like over 40K characters or so. I had to break it down into...

Lets See Your Rigs Packed For A Trip

Nope, no music on camping trips, not even the stereo, I like to listen to nature.

I saw Marco's video the other day too from Trail Recon, awesome setup. I thought I recognized the electronics built into the drawer setup on the right when I saw the picture above earlier.

Thanks! A hitch rack would be good for firewood too. Yes, I need to cut back more, and I think eliminating the HUGE chuckbox will really help. Thanks, you too.

Lets See Your Rigs Packed For A Trip

Yeah, I bring a lot, as I near senior citizenship, I tend to bring more :D Plus I have a lot of new gear this year I am going to try out, so no doubt I will weed back a bit next time. And that chuckbox takes up a lotta room, I am thinking about getting a custom one built over the winter that is...

Corey's 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser Build

Odyssey 34R-PC1500 Extreme Battery Installed 7-28-2017 I was on my second Toyota battery, and it recently started to get weak. The original Panasonic one from July of 2006 ran for seven years, and kept the ARB fridge going too on camping trips, as the fridge was not wired to the aux battery...
