I haven’t personally had that experience myself. Only times I’ve used them is when I’m in a pinch and usually I get drug over the coals it feels like for tires. Granted there service is amazing I just thing my money goes farther elsewhere and if you carry a spare you probably domt need that road...
So personally I’m not a fan of les Schwab mainly cause a lot of the time if a little trimming needs do e they won’t or can’t do it. I’m a bigger fan of smaller shops or shops use to working on 4x4s but that’s just personal preference.
Sorry to hear that man. I have seen a few of the newer ram 1500s have some issues but usually transmission. The thing about dealerships of it did have a diff issue and they messed with it and didn’t record it you can never prove they cause the issue. Honestly I have a 2020 ram 2500 and unless I...
Having self inflate would be nice but I would definitely probably prefer not having to air anything up at all since we typically pick up camp every day to travel around or maybe stay 2 nights.
What do you recommend for making your roof tent more comfortable? We have a smittybuilt xl tent since I wasn’t sure we would like it. Answe may be to buy a better tent now that we do. It has a foam mattress and although I Luke it better than ground tents I’m sure it could be better.
Sadly no such reward for me other than seeing ranchers herding cattle and some antelope which was cool but it’s pretty Smokey in eastern Oregon now. It also doesn’t help my wife is pregnant
My entire route today was untraveled. Ended up on super tight trails that left my ram with some pin striping and more tan then red. Wife did not enjoy the drive lol.
So I just bought a privacy tent for bathroom use and showering mainly for the wife but I definitely won’t mind having it. That a shovel to dig and hole and a 5gallon bucket with the bottom mostly cutoff .
I’ll preface this by saying I haven’t had my smittybuilt along time only a few months. I have the XL and it’s a good tent but not perfect by any means but when I buy another one I will look for something like the Icamper or the others where it’s a cross between a hard shell and a soft shell RTT...
I do at this point almost always go by myself granted I don’t know on super technical stuff so that’s why so far I have focused on self recovery. You make a really good point about going backwards instead of commuting further. Obviously things like traction boards will work but until I get a...
I’ll take a look at that man appreciate it! K I’ll look into all of that. I have a few of those things listed some didn’t really think of as recovery gear but It makes since.
I definitely appreciate the advice man. I do carry a axe and shovel but I never thought about the application of getting unstuck with a axe honestly. I do have a fire extinguisher but It’s kinda small so I would like to upgrade that as well. I’ve always needed recovery gear in the snow I’ve...
I’m newer to overlanding and really want to be prepared for as much as I can. I currently have Max tracks and a bumper and winch on the way. What gear do I need from here? Obviously some shackles and other stuff after reading some write ups on winching and recovery.
