Starting over again for the last time . 2016 jku rubicon hard rock .

For the daily, could you possibly get a little RWD truck, like an ol’ S10 and keep the Jeep for adventures? I’m entertaining the idea myself, but have no room in my garage for a different daily.

Welcome, James! Colorado has a lot to offer for adventure. I’m a native and am still finding plenty of places to explore!

    GVM + mods + gear = ?

Watched this video recently and it’s really got me thinking. One of my anticipated mods includes some heavy slider steps. Add a topper and Decked system...I don’t have a lot of heavy gear, but the numbers do add up, especially when you add two large dogs to the crew. Anyone had any issues when...

When Your Daily Driver is Your Overland Rig

My ZR2 is my daily. It’s pretty capable stock, but I’m trying to keep my mods pretty stealth. I certainly don’t have a big enough garage for a commuter and my rig. It helps that work is about a mile away, got lucky on that one.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Good to know! The hinge design is one of the things I’m stuck on. I’ll be sure to stick with 1/4” thickness on my materials! Thanks!

Welcome! I was basically in the same boat when I joined the community here. It’s super valuable to take some close trips to shake out your rig and gear, I’m still figuring it out myself. I was intimidated by all these great rigs in this community, but everyone is super nice and has great advice!

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Any advice on the awning? I’d like to fab my own since I don’t have a rack on my topper. I have tracks, but still have to fit in the garage.

Welcome! That’s quite an upgrade! Big Sexy Beast on YouTube has a Tundra TRD built out with a Decked system and an ARE MX topper. Seems cozy!

    Spices

I’ve used the multi-spice bottles and haven’t had an issue with the cap. I do however keep it in one of my tin cups while traveling and it kind of acts as a sheath. We inevitably get low on the garlic salt though!

    Looking for trail toilet ideas

The self sealing ammo can is a great idea that I may steal for storing the bags themselves. Not sure I have the accuracy for using it as the loo itself, lol.
