I just started the build on my first ever overland/off road vehicle and also just found out that we are expecting our first child. I was worried that the build would die but you guys give me hope!

I feel like a little kid looking out the window waiting for the mailman each day. The mailman must be overlanding himself and taking all the dirt trails getting it here because it feels like it is taking forever!

Also, has anyone ran the KAT? Ever since I started my West Coast Envy thread I have been researching more trails in this region and it looks like a long well planned trip.

I wish I could but we have friends in town. Next weekend is cars and coffee. We could meet there, check out the cars, and then head over and run some of it. My map came in a few days ago and I have been itching to get out there.

Is there a database of driving trails in the Smokies? I have done some of the hiking trails and I have driven the pavement roads but never off road. BTW Dananc I grew up on T.I. just south of Clearwater Beach. I miss the seafood and the fishing but definitely not the heat!
