They have a double lip that seals out most. On about a 500 mile trip there was a little seepege thru due to a couple hours of downpours we went through, but nothing terrible. Could have been prevented with a little foam or something along the lip I think. Was not enough for me to find it...
I have seen the Duratrac's work so well for so many rigs, they are always a top consideration. Not seen the KO2 actually off of pavement so hard to say if they are good.
I have used the hinged ones..as in the picture...the 1819 without an oring and they went through some showers with little water penetration on the roof rack. That was at 70 mph as well. They seal decently but are not waterproof.
The pic in amazon link is the 1819 with the hinges, not sure why...
Thanks. It is designed to keep the best approach angle and is only about an inch out from the end of the frame and the bottom plate is is against the bottom off the frame rail.

I really like my Scanguage II, but would really consider an Ultra if i did not have it. I have it hard mounted in the rig and use the cheap OBD plug-ins and bluetooth with a Torque app in all the other vehicles.
I carry a firearm basically all the time and have them and other weapons at ready in any vehicle. The world is a crazy place and i sure would prefer to be judged by 12 rather carried by 6.
My buddy lives right by it and he does not bother going anymore, so that is why I have not. Will chat with him more and see what he knows. There is miles of gravel and creek crossings way closer to me if that is all it is.
I would like to make it over there when a group is around to camp...
Hopefully that covers about everything til now. Only other differences is the new jerry can in black and swapped in a new 12,500 lb winch of same brand to use the old on our car trailer. Running the metal wire on it for now. Have begun another front bumper build with the winch mount built in...
Changed the mounts on the light bars and slapped the hi lift back on. Did some wire brushing and painting. Removed most decals. Got rid of orange accents. Got LED tails. Started swapping to new winch so the old can go to live on the trailer. Swapped the grill again. Cleaned off skids and...
Tossed the basket back up top. Painted the hood all white for now. Washed it. Filled it with fuel. Added new reverse led lights.
These reverse lights..

Decided to try out the LED Lightbar thing and I see why people love them. I only have the bumper mounted 20 incher wired up until I get some mounts built for the 32 in the basket, but it is AMAZING. I can only imagine what the upper will add. I went with the combo bars with the ends as flood...
