Hello All,
I received a Magellan eXplorist GC for free. Does anyone have an idea on how to make this unit more usable for overlanding. It's current use is mainly Geocaching, which is fun, but I was hoping to load topo maps on it.
Any help would be appreciated!
[EDIT] Title changed to avoid...
Hey All,
I have a Magellan eXplorist GC (which I got for free) and a super old Magellan Sport Trak Map. Neither of them are super functional. I'd like to get a new one so I could use it for topo maps for OBing, hunting, and hiking. Unless anybody has tips on making the GC functional for more...
It's been quite a few years since I've been out west, but checking out spooky old ghost towns. It's crazy to imagine how recently some of these places were booming!
Would anybody be interested in doing a Southern Wisconsin Meet Up? We could meet at one of the amazing breweries in the area and talk shop and enjoy a couple cold ones!
Let me know if there is any interest!
I carry a Leatherman Rebar in my truck. Love that thing.
I often carry a Gerber Clutch in my pocket. They are cheap and capable little multitools. Somehow I have ended up with 3 (secret santa, etc) so I have backups.
Headed up to NW Wisconsin and breaking out the bow to do some White Tail Deer hunting in a couple weeks. Still trying to coordinate rifle season. I'd like to get into more, but it's hard to find the time and land to do so.
