I didn't camp there ... just went to the beach for the day...

It's fairly smooth up to the gate where its closed , so I couldn't tell you whats past it , this was the first time for me going there . I'd imagine though downed trees, and washed out rds is the fare up there ... can't wait till it opens though , I can't wait to go back ! I hear the rd past...

Its so beautiful there ... but currently only the 1st 6 miles in ( 5 to the beach ) are open ... with all the rain we had this year , the rest of the road up to Shelter cove is closed, from what I found out ...Also that beach is NOT a good place to go on the weekend , I've read about it from...

Then the view at the beach ! This is on Usal Rd off hwy 1 north of ft bragg and westport onto the "Lost Coast"

Hill I just came down to the beach ...

river that the little bridge crosses as it empties in the ocean ...

Only one there , the smaller bushes and trees in the center of the pic are the bridge and camp sites I just drove through to be at the beach .

Cross this little bridge and go left at the trees ... their camp sites in the trees , then on to the beach .

Almost to the beach down the hill ...

and drive along a pretty high ridge ... not a good place to pull over ... ;)if you look in the top right of the pic ,you'll see a black shape... I think it's either a Grey Whale or a Great White....

Then you start to leave the forest to the coast ...

first part of the road in from hwi 1 is through the forest ....
