with regards to phone signal, it doesn't matter if there is one, just don't feel the need to be a teenager and pick up your phone every 30 seconds. Be sensible and have your phone with you (fully charged) for emergency use. There are a huge number of people who can't read maps or even follow...

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

My guess is that you haven't spent much time in the UK. We're generally not known for our hot weather but are usually greeted with wet weather on a frequenext high than most rain forests. So mud is normally quite high on the terrain style.

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

I've added a photo to hopefully clarify what I mean. The top photo shows the brackets I have which clamp on to my Hannibal Roof Rack. Aas you can see from the photo the hilift is secured using the wing nuts onto the M16 thread I'd like to change the wing nuts for the lockable devices that you...

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

I just bought 5 new wheels for my Defender 90. I'm just in the process of trying to decide whether to clad them in BF Goodrich Mud Terrain, BF Goodrich All Terrain or General Grabber AT3 other items on my wish / shopping list: Lazer Triple R 28 light bar and Wiring kit 2 x Lazer T2 (rear...

I've done a fair amount of my training on Exmoor / Dartmoor. Theyre amazing places. it's surprising how many local people never bother to visit them.

    Geocaching

Thanks for your comment but my point was sonewhat different. My GPS came with a few hubdred thousand preloaded caches. I was asking if there was a way of removing the caches that I have already found. In addition there are many caches which no longer exist and have been archived. So to...

I have the optional porch too. I'd like to get the "Eldfell stove" which is a wood burning stove. there is a hole in the to if the tipi to accommodate the chimney from the stove. I love my tipi, but I must warn you, it's not cheap

Eating utensils traditional or new age?

I've not tried sporks before although have carved a fair number of wooden spoons whilst teaching on self sufficiency courses. Today I received with my latest Land Rover magazine (don't forget- it doesn't matter what you drive) a free Spork. This one even has a serrated knife edge down one...
