Happy 4th everyone! I'll be leaving bend in about 2 hrs and headed to camp tonight. Hope I can find a good spot. I'll see you guys tomorrow! Enjoy the holiday!
Damn I'd love to go but I'll be finishing up the last day of the WABDR on the 10th! Don't have anything else planned until aug so I'll keep an eye out, but definitely bummed I'll miss this one
I feel you there, haven't been flying, but renovation of my back yard, I've done more on the rig in the last two weekends than I've done in a year. Added recovery points, new exhaust, tablet mount, dechromed the exterior (I hate chrome ) swapped to the lower profile hitch, removed front sway...
I'll be heading to my parents house in central Oregon on Friday the 2nd, what's the plan for when/where we are meeting up on the 5th? Just trying to figure out when I need to leave from there.
Damn sorry to hear you won't be coming, and definitely a valid point about tread lightly.
I i really want to do the Idaho bdr, but won't be able to swing it this year. You going south to north on that as well?
Yes I'll definitely have my Milwaukee chainsaw, and can even bring a gas powered one if needed. I had the same idea about splitting up for camping if needed. I'm gonna be building a sleeping platform this weekend or next(nothing like waiting until the last minute lol)
I know we'll hit a town...
Any interest in trying again this is coming Saturday (4th)?
Weather will be a lot warmer, and snow level according to Gaia is down to about 2-18" and doesn't start till the others side of the ridge we got to.
Absolutely love the rig, can't wait to see it in person! I was stationed in Anchorage for 3 years and though I was always a Toyota fan, that's where I really fell in love. I want to drive up to prudehoe (and tuk) eventually but I have driven the alcan 4 times I miss Alaska, just not the first...
I'm either going to sleep in my rig or my rtt(unsure if I want to mount it or not) but I think our biggest issues with camping(I'm assuming was I've not done the wabdr) is our number of rigs. I think we're close to 20 if all go that are interested. That might be a lot to ask to try and find a...
I actually hunt the Starkey unit so I saw this and thought hell yeah, but you're probably right, and if you're adding a Kennewick event, that's close enough. I've had my ham license for about 4 years now and never transmitted, a group of us got the green in Colorado, then I had some health...
This week be my first Field Day, is it both days? Or part of each? It's a 4 hr drive down, just wondering if it's worth it to do Friday after work or Saturday morning. And what time on Sunday does everything wrap up?
I count 13. I think I remember seeing a limit of 15. You can see if you follow the link to the rally point on the first post and click attendees
