I'm curious about the CO2. Why not just compressed air? I'm sure it could be inflated with CO2. But my paintball days tell me that CO2 takes more time to turn from a liquid to a gas than just having compressed are. Is it a budget thing?
You know. Now that I think about it. A plow disk wouldn't take up much room and I could just throw that in the fire. But then I would have to bring my own spices. . .
Rock spice makes everything nice.
I usually find a nice flat rock. Make a decent size fire. (And pay attention here) . . . .put the rock in the fire. But careful not to put it in a spot you can't reach. Works just like a pizza stone. And that is how you pack for overlanding in a CJ.5 . . lol.
Built a front bumper. Modified a use rear bumper to fit. Found an old hi lift and slapped it on there. Even got my XRC winch installed, then forgot to take a pic.
How much time do you have? Me and another OB member are putting together a dirt tour of the Flint Hills. Lots of water crossings, beautiful scenery and free camping. Trail runs N & S from Wamego, KS to Cedar Vale, KS. Let me know if your interested.
I just found one we had on our family farm. Used it when I parked the"scoop trailer". Trailer was too tall for any other jack. Farm sold in '04, "scoop trailer" with it. But my parents still own the place. I took a walk up there last week and I'll be damn if it wasn't still laying up there...
