I have the materials for my "homebrew" roof rack already assembled. I am hoping to have that ready for this weekend... EMT conduit and bolts and spray paint...it'll be epic for home made.
What a trip. That line has a long way to travel before it gets to the intake. My "Homebrew" version would take a more direct path, but wouldn't look nearly as nice.
That is soooo happening! How about spring '17? We go in April usually. Jawbone/Last Chance Canyon near California City... camping is free, just gas and food
Which route are you running from the coast? What is your time schedule? I know a couple of us from just south of Fresno will be heading up Friday morning. (shhh don't tell anyone, I'm calling in sick...lol)
If you take the 46 across to the 41 or however that is, to get to the 99, We might be...
I also have an 08' JKU and want to put a snorkel on as well...I have been toying with the idea of building my own. Some 2 or 3" PVC and some clamps...I will post some photos if I ever manage to assemble it. I think the hardest part will be taking the actual step of cutting the front...
I have the fortunate privilege of being able do a little overlanding on a daily basis...blacktop overlanding as I call it...
I keep a cook setup on the truck. I can cook my soup, and boil water for dishes afterwards. This process only takes a few minutes to do and saves cash.
Another benefit...
Came out beautifully...and I disagree. We integrate this lifestyle into everything we do. Installing a garage door opener into your rig IS (imo) related...you modified your rig...etc [emoji16]
