There is a discount code usually for active military member.
Last year, they have a discount code to stimulate attendences. This year, I doubt they will have discount. But keep checking back in when time is near. The venue is big and capable to hold more than enough attendee. Low ticket...
Feel free to ask any question. I also just finish a route through Quebec and Canada Maritime. I've been up to Nova Scotia, PEI, NB several times. It's all depend where is you destination.
More is coming during spring. Suspension upgrade ordered. I'm running new set of BFG KO2 on the stock 18" rim. It's 275/70R18 which is 33". MPG suffered. :)
Roofrack already in house. It will be Rhinorack Pioneer platform with the backbone.
Thanks for the info. Iceland is not overlanding/vanlife friendly now. But, the scenery still worth to experience. Looking forward to our trip in April 2020. Research has been done for 2+ year already. We just have the time to commit the adventure.
@tmarton05 Did you visited Iceland on May? Bring back this as I'm planning to do similar trip in April 2020. I read that it's illegal to wild/van camping in Iceland since they pass the law in 2015. Only can camp in designated campground. Any insight?
There is no wrong on either paying a brand new Sequoia TRD pro or buy a SR5 Sequoia & build it up using 3rd party parts. Overall, it's all about personal preference. I will not try to judge each other.
All I can say Sequoia is a vehicle which many refer as soccer mom SUV. Prop to toyota...
Most people doubt on the sequoia capabilities. It’s heavy, wide and long. I’m very please on my sequoia. It’s been driven hard. A little mod and you can do this.
Over the weekend, I attended the 2019 Mid-Atlantic Overland Festival (MAOF) at Huntingdon PA. I have a great time at the event. Great weather, awesome venue, good vendor and make many new friends. Here is the video of my journey to MAOF
We did a 13 days trip. It was an awesome trip as I got to meet some great OB members from Canada Atlantic region. We have a short 2 hrs meet & greet at Tim Hortons Dartmouth NS.
Here is our route.
Another year...for 2019, this rig has some upgrade and we just completed our adventure/exploration to Maritime Canada. We spend 13 days on the road and camp 11 nights. Drove 3365 miles and visited 3 Canada provinces.
Here is a few pics of our trip.
Sadly to say, this plan is postponed. Due to limited time available, I have plan C in place. We will be touring the Canada Maritime coast. Starting from Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.
Sorry for late info sharing. First, welcome to US. For border crossing, just beware fresh fruit and meat might be inspected. No firewood from outside state. If you tow boat, that a different thing to deal with. If you tow trailer, make sure the trailer is registered with your name.

Highly recommended doing the Alpine loop. Even if you tow a trailer, it's wide enough to navigate through it. I've seen some rig with turtle back trailer on Alpine Loop.
My toyota sequoia is a full size rig. It's been up to Engineer Pass.
We are a family of 5. Here is our setup. If you need any info or have question, feel free to reach out.
For us, a trailer with RTT is perfect. We can base camp and still go out for adventure. We have done 7000+ miles from east coast to west coast trip. Camped in some gorgeous remote site...
