Sounds great, I live in Pollock Pines so we can meet up here for the drive. I probably should check in at the office, but then I'm flexible as far as departure time.
Seriously going to try and be there, any idea on the snow pack? Bodie sits at 8300' might be a bit of snow left. Did I miss info on a meet up? I plan to go 50 over the top then down 395, I appreciate any info .
Hello Daniel and welcome.
I usually spend a week hunting the black hills every year. Most of which I've been up near Deerfield lake near Hill City. Lots of great roads and scenery to explore. Keep us informed of your adventures.

Thanks! I like it, it's comfortable on longer drives and goes where I point it. Now I just need time enough to go use it.

That sounds like a great trip, I live at the bottom of Mormon Emigrant so I may just run the lower section. I will be getting my maps out, thanks for sharing the inspiration.

Sorry I missed this post! That's my backyard. I think I may have seen the rover's in the pollock safeway parking lot. I will have to pay better attention, if I want to play next time. Looks like you had a great time. Thanks for the pic's
Out of curiosity, which fs roads are you planning between 88 and Mormon trail? And from hwy 4? I think deer valley is closed, at least last I checked it was. Used to be you could jump from Ebbetts pass on hwy 4 over to blue lakes on 88 via Deer valley trail. Awesome trail that ran right...
Wow this tread came alive! Awesome. @kent I'm actually in California. I end up in bend to see family several times a year.
@NorCalCrisp the route I want to take has high passes and is going to have snow for some time. I will be looking at late July and August for my trip.

Hey Jkxranger
I have not run these yet. I have a plan to try and run #3 from Cali border to sisters this summer. There is a little info on YouTube , and I have found a little info from other websites. I know The guys from Oregon trail adventures (think that's the name) have done part of it...
Sounds like a great adventure. I would bet you learned a great deal about what you and your truck can do. Thanks for all the pictures and the write up. I can relate to your trials and victories. Please share the next trip with us.
