wanna plan on something around the 25th of May? I'm in Tacoma but willing to drive if the majority of people are somewhere else. Somewhere with beer is good. Back in Idaho we would always have meets at pizza buffet's. Any good ones around?
It will be a trip for the summer. I used to live in boise and visit frequently. I am wanting to make a week long trip. Might do the trans American trail through Oregon.
Was searching the web trying to find a way to get from Seattle to Boise on fire/dirt roads for a summer trip when I came across an app for Android called Postholer Trails + GPS. Has anyone ever used it? is it better, worse, or the same as GAIA?

Think I will be heading out to Longmire/Paradise to see if I can find anything fun to do. Will be taking my scale crawler and dragging my buddy with me. Anyone is free to join. Not sure when we will head out or even have a definite plan yet.

Here is the link to the trail that I am talking about. Thinking about the lower two sections if you open up the interactive map.
I wouldnt mind getting a small trip together for the end of March/April time depending on snow. I was thinking of running the WABDR from the Cascade Locks up to Ellensburg. It looks to be mostly Nation Fire roads and should be pretty clear and wide enough for some full size rigs. Looks to be...
my phone is an iphone. I found out that gaia doesnt play very well with win 10. I guess for now I will have to steal one of my wifes iPads. Going to be mounting everything up with Ram mounts. Would much rather just use my laptop/tablet, but they dont have the app built. Hope they do it soon.
That bumper looks pretty good for a home grown. I definitely like the looks of that latch over the small ones that come on all the pre built bumpers with a swing away. Your wheels look pretty unique, are they really a chain pattern?
Looks awesome! how long of a trip is it? Looking for something easier to do this summer to get my feet wet. Any more info on the different sections? or where to find more info?
Just got GAIA and was looking to upgrade my trucks head unit to something with carplay. Has anyone used GAIA through carplay? is it even possible? how does it run if it is?
Thanks for all the advice! Right now I think I will be ok with my AT tires, I might pick up some sliders for the truck. My buddy and myself tend to push our vehicles when we do venture out whether it is on dirt or pavement, and the last thing I would want right now is to crush my cab on a...
After years of telling myself I'm going to get out more, this is the year. Starting to outfit my truck, Its a '12 sierra that is all stock except for the 31" tires and hideous chrome wheels that came on it. Where do I even begin? So far all I have is enough gear to spend a weekend away...
