One of your funnest family trips of the year is the Christmas tree hunt. It's just day drip but we have a blast. Go find some snow to plow through to find a tree and have some fun doing it, the kids love it.
The mountains got some fresh snow. So we went to find our Christmas tree. Had a great time playing in the snow and hiking around. We rescued a 4 Runner that was badly stuck.
Its one of our favorite outings of the year.
Got her setup for a trip wheeling in the snow to find a Christmas tree this weekend. Its weird to say that.....
Its a fun family tradition we started a few years ago. The kids love it.
Finally took it to the shop to get the misfire figured out. The fuel pressure regulator is leaking fuel into cylinder 5. Needs a new one. Just going to do a whole new spider injector system. If I'm going to tear it all down might as well spend a few extra $$ and get the full upgrade. Maybe even...
The spark on plug 5 is weak. Already changed plug, wires, cap, rotor, and coil. The wires don't touch the engine or any other wires. I'm not against doing the fuel injectors, but due to the cost I want to make sure that they are the problem before going down that route. Did a compression test...
Got one more camping trip before it gets too cold for family.
Yet it did snow a little so gave my wife and kids a hard time saying we've been winter camping now so we can keep going all season.
The fall colors are awesome right now.

201K, no coolant leak. I'm hoping no head work, but I want to be sure before I start into that costly repair. Injectors could be a possibility, expecially if they are the orgianlly spider injectors, which I need to figure out. Going to check for vacuum leaks tomorrow and do a leak down test...
Been fighting a misfire cylinder 5 (chevy 350) all week. New wires, cap, rotor, spark plugs and coil. Running some good old BG 44K fuel system cleaner through the system right now. Not sure what else to chase. I doubt the valves are damaged, its never overheated or come close to getting too hot...
Bought it on ebay. A set of offset torsion keys and a tapered 3" lift bock for the rear. I'm running doetsch prerunner shocks, supper affordable. They are a little soft for the pavement but still handle great. Air down a little and I can cruise washboard roads like it's a paved country...
Redid the switches for the exterior camp lights on the trailer. Don't use push button switches, they don't handle washbaord roads well. Plus rebuilt the kitchen latch and lock. It rattled itself apart with all the trails we took this year. Still need to replace the tongue jack, the handle got...
They are called Quick Fists. They have 2 sizes so watch out for that. Here's an Amazon link since it's my go to site, lol.

I did the same thing a year and a half ago. It's been a good fridge so far. It's amazing how expensive the cooler size freezers are when you can get a full size fridge for your house for less.....it's the same technology.

Took her out on the mountain amd splashed a little mud on her last night for date night with my wife. Finally finished carpeting the drawer system. Now that that project is finally done, it's time to start working on the spare tire swing out to get the spare tire out of the back...

Unfortunately I do not. I but the trailer before I even knew of this forum. I do have quite a few pics and have thought about a post build build thread? Or selling this one to build an new one. Why? I dunno, it sounds fun... Thanks for the interest, let me know if you have questions and I'll see...
Where I live now they don't allow wood house heating "too much pollution." I miss my wood burning stove where I used to live. I miss the fun of collecting and chopping firewood.

Started the day by putting some color on the trailer.
Then after my other home projects for the days weren't going so well I gave up and went back to work on the rig. Decided to finish up the drawer system I build in the spring. Putting carpet in and painting the faces. Still going to put...
Had a great Labor Day weekend. Well after we delt with the problems....
We lost both trailer tires going down the freeway. The total blowout first, then 2o miles later the other side decided to peal the tread off.
After having to use both the trailer spare and the truck spare we got to our...
