TAT 1.0. Last night we camped just inside Arkansas at the Delta Heritage Trail campground. Technically it is for hikers/tenters, but they let us camp in their parking lot. Nice bathrooms. Mississippi just wasn't doing it for us.
Today we'll get to check out the Arkansas portion of the TAT...
Got into the Bruton Branch Recreation Area Campground on the TN River about 30 min before sundown. Another beautiful waterfront campsite.
Here is where we are at.
Showered last night, good night of sleep, and a beautiful sunrise. We're now calling this the TAT and Americana tour. Detoured off the TAA slightly to the Dutch Made Bakery in Tracy City, TN for some morning Danish.
It has been wild. Water crossings, steep rocky ascents, and never for sure till you're there where we'll be camping for the night. We've camped in an Ingals grocery store parking lot, a Wal-Mart parking lot, national park campgrounds, and an open field along the TAT.
Last night was a heavy...
Yesterday was a half day. We got to Blowing Rock NC about 1100, and checked in at the Julian Price campground on the Blue Ridge Parkway around noon. Very nice campground . I did laundry in Boone NC, went to the grocery store, and since the campground had showers, I took a shower. Driver's...

Our driver's meeting is at 0830 this morning, and we'll be hitting the road right after that. So far...
Left Ripley this morning just after 0900. Let the adventure begin! Winding roads, water crossings... and we only missed a few turns (I guess by "we" we mean "me" since I was out front leading). Got into a wonderful campground near Sutton, WV around 1700.
Eight or nine according to the message I put out about two weeks ago to all the registered participants. I wouldn't be surprised if it was less than that come Saturday. It is the nature of the game, that's why I had the limit set high at 20.
Set up at the Statts Mills RV park. My trailer is in the RV section near the bathroom building. I'll be in and out doing chores getting ready for Saturday. Wal-Mart us about 20 min from the camp. It is a good bit down a side road after you get off the highway, so you might need to map it.
At the nice KOA in Lebanon OH - the KOAs worked out well. I‘m about 175 miles from Ripley , so I’ll get there tomorrow on the early side. Gotta find a place in Ripley to do laundry, and replenish some foodstuffs. The only things I forgot to pack were a couple washcloths and a hand towels...
