Tread Lightly 101 Online Awareness Course

Interested in knowing about this as well. I completed the online course last year for American Adventurist. I assume the certificate remains valid forever?

    Outer banks NC questions

I hate that for y'all. It sounds as though you made the absolute best of all the different challenges you faced. I would also like to personally thank you for taking the LNT method and applying it to your camping. I'm a big believer in that system and also in leaving things better than I found...

    Wheel alignment suggestions?

As a technician I agree with you 100%. Even with modifications, a near factory spec should be strived for. If the vehicle is so heavily modified that this is unattainable, my opinion is that it's not a daily driver, or even street capable and the alignment is/ shouldn't really be that big of an...

    NC Piedmont/CLT Meet-Up Planning

I'm definitely interested in this, as well as the others OB friends I travel/camp with. Weekends seem to be unanimously the choice here as most of us are blue collar 8-5 guys. A long trip would need to be made pretty far in advance to have funds and time off as well, but I'm not against it...

    Weekend Overland in NC

Add Max Patch to finish the trip off after hurricane creek trail (It's only a 10 min ride up the forest road after HC ends) and you got yourself a heck of a weekend!

Call Davis Ferry Service and see if they have an available time for you to depart and return. Super nice folks. I cannot remember the exact fee, but I do know it is on their website. It might seem $$ but remember once you're over camping is free anywhere on the island that's permitted. I promise...

Have you considered Cape Lookout? It's more primitive, but such an amazing place.

Overland Expo East 2018 Discussion Thread (Not region specific)

THIS! I couldn't agree more! I was a volunteer this year and it was also my first expo. Obviously the weather could have been better. That being said, it's just rain and mud. If that bothers you, then I don't think camping is for you. I loved meeting people that share an interest and passion...

We have been on several trails through Pisgah. It's a beautiful area. Hurricane Creek is one of the iconic trails located there just off the interstate.

Welcome, Overland Bound Region - Southeast

Hey y'all. Since we're all snowed in here I decided to finally get around on the forums and get some use out of being a member. My name is Adam and I'm from a small town called East Bend. Located about 30 minutes outside of Winston Salem, N.C in the foothills. I enjoy wheeling at uwharrie and...
