    Snorkel or Not to Snorkel

Not for nothing, but you do not need to be anywhere near over your hood to hydrolock your engine. I have seen many a vehicle hydrolocked from the wake pushed by their tires with the water not even coming over their tires. I live in the southeast and we get a lot of flooding from time to time...

    Any Hunters Among Us?

Bird hunt and take kids turkey hunting. Still hunt big game now and again, however, the older I get, the more I prefer my bird dogs over most people and most hunting.

To Chainsaw or not to Chainsaw, that is the question

Interesting, I guess it is all a matter of where you explore. I live in the Southeast and the majority of the areas I tend to explore and have had to use the chainsaw it is generally damp. We get trees down due to storms and hurricanes and typically within days of the tree being down someone...

    Apalachicola National Forest Florida

Lots of roads in the NF. Also the St. Mark's NWR. I used to hunt the NF decades ago, there is a Jeep Club in Tallahassee that does trail rides there every now and then. A friend of mine told me that you needed at least 35 inch tires for some of the trails the Jeep Club hits in the NF due to...

Intel Needed for South Georgia (Lagrange, Macon, Valdosta, Savannah, etc.)

There are miles upon miles of grated county roads in Southwest GA. Sometimes when I am heading places in the area, Garmin will send me down them as a faster route. Especially in Lee, Sumter, Macon and Oglethorpe Counties.

To Chainsaw or not to Chainsaw, that is the question

I carry the Stihl MSA 200C Lithium battery powered chainsaw with the charger in my vehicle and a bottle of bar oil. It is a beast, works as good as any gas powered saw its size and I don't have to worry about gas fumes, etc....in my vehicle.

Anyone use the Garmin GPSMap 276Cx?

Let me start by saying that I am closer to 60 than 50 so I am not what you would call a techie. With that being said, I purchased a GPSMap 276Cx because of some of its features, the 1x24,000 maps you can download and their advertised features. I purchased the map for my region, and low and...

    2018 JKU Golden Eagle

The problem with JKUs is that you never finish with the mods. I have a 2018 JKUR and the more I add to it, the more I want to add to it. Oddly enough, I knew I was going to build an overlanding vehicle out of it so the very first modification I did was the Genesis Offroad Dual Battery System...
