Some update. Body work. Front is done with some fabricated and done OEM panels. Work on the rear started. It is starting to look like a troopy.

This uses a stock turbo, so boost will not exceed 13 PSI. I've upgraded the turbo on my 80 series Landcruiser which has a GTurbo and that is limited to 18 PSI. We put 90K miles in the last 5 years on long trips to Alaska, East Coast and Continental Divide and many more with not a single issue.

Finally got the quarter panels from Japan. We carried them on the roof of our 80 to Flagstaff. Body should be done before Jan 1, 2024. Then the work begins...

Just finished a 24 days/5700 miles trip including 2700 miles of the Continental Divide trail from Mexico border to Canada border. Over 1000 miles in low range including some passes in Colorado Rockies. Trip included a few rigs with an AMAZING crew. Experience that will last a life time.

Just make sure you are not caught in rain there. Mud will be impassable.

That is an amazing trip. We spent a week in the North Rim last year. Point Sublime needs a permit to camp from NPS on certain dates. Don't forget... Whitmore (36.151650, -113.20554) easy hike to the river is usually crowded Kanab point (36.40692, -112, 64988) Good dispersed camping...
