I live in Lincoln and would like to join in. Here is the thing, I changed vehicles and don’t yet have a rack to mount my rtt. So I would be able to join in just for the wheeling and not camping. Ill go ahead and rsvp but let me know if that is only required for camping with the group...
These are a pair of Teraflex Nebo Roof Rack Cargo Slats in black. They are in excellent condition with minor wear from my roof top tent usage. As you can see in the photos, the mounting hardware is included. I've sold my JKU that had the Nebo rack on it so no longer need these. These sell for...
Hoping for a quick and painless recovery for you. The thing we all probably take for granted is health. Best to take it easy and join in when the timing is right.
Just saw this. It's the Loess Hills Scenic Byway. It's by far the best driving road near Lincoln that I've been on. It's fun in any type of vehicle but especially awesome in a good handling sports car!
That sounds pretty cool actually. Our state has plenty of scenic areas just not in the way that mountain states do. I'd be up for something like this! One of the best driving roads that motorcycles and sports cars frequent is just about 40 minutes east of Lincoln. It's got curvy driving...
Near Lincoln, there are a couple of private properties that have some trials on them. However, those are by invite only and I don't have any ownership in those. I also did some trails at Halsey a while back. I haven't done it yet but there is the Broken Arrow Wilderness in Fullerton, NE.
I live in Lincoln and have had my 08 JKU for a little over 11 years. Over that time, I’ve taken it on a variety of trips. The best off road trails I’ve been on were in Moab and Colorado. I’ve been on some in Nebraska as well as Tuttle. It’s fun to just get out and see new places. My JKU has...
I got a Pelican 30QT a few months ago and really like it. The main thing that made me select this cooler over other brands is the latch design. It's so easy to use without any hassles!
Nice, I wasn't familiar with that one. Looks like a great option for camping there. Honestly I've driven around Halsey but not camped there. But very interested in doing so. I know there is also the Bessey Rec area that would be an option as well-...
Alright, the weather is good again. There is no excuse for not getting out there. So, that said, when could work for a trip out to Halsey? I'm thinking arrive there on a Friday or Saturday, explore the trails and then camping overnight and back the next day as starter. Potential dates:
June...
Right now, Sam's Club is selling their Pelican 1600 clone for under $20! I bought one today and I can't believe how sturdy and well built it is. I'm going to buy another one. It looks like they are out of stock online but my local store had some. So it's likely your local stores may also have...
