Yearly Car Show - OctoberBeast 2016

IMHO, we (OB) should host regional "Overland Car Shows". They would serve double duty as Meet-ups, and promote Overlanding. Invite (Posters/Flyers/Non-OB Forum Posts/etc.) members & non-members to exhibit their rigs free, and open it up to vendors as well (to cover the costs involved). Thoughts?

Tough to compete with your rig, when I comes to being Overland Ready!

Benicia for the cool temps and the views ...

Trivia: Did you know, Benicia used to be the CA State Capitol?

    Non-Member Rig Photos

{If there's an existing thread for this, feel free to merge. The only ones I found were geographically specific. Our "Rig Photos" thread seems to be mostly member rigs. Doesn't it make sense to keep them separate?} Spotted this in Santa Clarita, CA - Nice!!!

    First Aid & Field Medicine

The books are really important to have with you. Especially for those of us who don't administer medical aid on a regular basis. This is a permanent fixture in my rig...

    First Aid & Field Medicine

Copy that! The most common maladies in remote locations, are anaphylaxis, upper respiratory infection, and diarrhea. I carry Benadryl, Mucinex DM, and Imodium. For trauma, I've got blood stoppers, SAM Splints, C-Spine Collars, Pharyngeal airways, and the SOS button on my InReach :-) P.S...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

This was me last Monday, when the mechanic said my entire cooling system was rusted out and it would be $1800... Back on the road today! "Water (rusty) Under the Bridge" :-)

    Accessorizing your spare?

I hear ya. I've got a pretty beefy aftermarket steel bumper and swing out. I think it can handle it. I wouldn't do a cooler. I was thinking more along the lines of camping chairs, etc.
