@Disco2Guy Thanks for the advice - how does your D2 handle with a lift kit (going by your profile name i'm assuming you're a D2 owner and it's lifted)?

Just seen you in Plymouth. So i'm guessing it's a TD5, the ECU is under the drivers seat, you will benefit from buying a loom extender and moving the ecu to a higher position (mine was on bulkhead behind drivers seat) this stops the oil issue - oil travels up the loom and eventually cooks the...

is the tank under the drivers seat - it is in the UK - battery under passenger (left) seat on the rear of the bulkhead behind the front seats? next to battery - size dependent not sure on the size of it but would it fit under the body forward of the rear wheels?? Hope it helps

Me!! I seem to always put things in front of actually getting out - work - family - friends, but i'm sat there pee'd off with myself that i've STILL not recce'd the route we made! It'll only be a 2 day trip max, and it's not like the Land Rover isn't ready for getting out....... One day

Just ordered new suspension all round, the transfer box and switchgear and winch all arrived today too Need a day to get it all fit now though!!

Cheers guys. The fund raising is taking some building up to. We're looking to see how fee-sable it is to drive to Aus in 8 weeks - like a good challenge - once we've figured that out we'll be able to start the promotion of the event. Hope to catch up with you all at some point

evening So a question Is a 1 or 2" lift kit worth fitting to a discovery 2?? Long term plan is to drive it to Aus, but is a lift kit a benefit to have?? The diffs will be the same height, it has rear air ride and lifts itself 2" if needed, but only at the rear, so if the diffs are still going...
