Also, wound up purchasing these these rear shock mounts.
Still figuring out where to mount them. I think I'm gonna completely cut out the upper & lower mount.

Absolutely beautiful! I love when these trucks roll into the shop. It's like going back in time to when 4 wheelers had that low dollar nostalgia.

I didn't know that about the Icon kit. It looks like they are a "balanced" kit. Where they correct, then the camber & caster can be set using the lower control arms. Personally I like having the ability to adjust.

The SPC Light Racing arms are the only ones I know of that provide adjustment for Caster/Camber correction. They are in my Amazon Shopping Cart. Lol.

That's exactly what I started with. I used Bilstein/Toytec/Metal Tech. But, I wanted as much travel as I could get. And I'm still working the bugs out. Also used spacers up front to get my lift instead of having to preload the springs and have a bouncy ride up front.

If I was to do mine all over again. I'd go with OME BP-51. Heavy springs cause I like to camp/load it down. Plus have the ability to adjust the rear compression and rebound. Not many kits under $3k can boast that.

Yes, that's a really good kit. The OME BP-51 kit doesn't come with control arms. But, the shocks in the OME kit look better.

I'm thinking about buying a winch mount from OrangeBoxx Fab. Then buying a tubing bender from affordable benders and making my own front & rear bumpers.
The Warrior products bumpers may be an option as well.
But I like investing in tools. The tools would cost less than the bumpers. So, I'm...
Finally got to stretch my legs. Pics are from last weekend. Camping outside of Hershey PA & wheeling at Rausch Creek ORP.

I used to use engine oil (10-30 or 15-40) to keep them moving free. Some guys use wheel bearing grease. I found they bind & seize up. When road dirt and mud from the trails mixes with the heavier grease.

I've got BFG Mud Terrain KM2. I'm gonna be stepping up to 35's for the next set. It's either these or Maxxis Trep Radials.

I went with Bilstein 5100's up front. Toytec Coil over sleeves, with a 1" spacer. This way I get lift without having to preload the springs and get a bouncy ride up front. Rear's got Metal Tech Long Travel. They are the first gen 2" lift springs. Rear shocks are Bilstein 7100, compression...
I thought about it. But I'm not dead set on these lower shock mounts. If I brace them and add a lower skid. The shock is gonna be tough to install/remove.
I like these mounts. They are for Tacoma.
They've got a hefty price tag on em. But, they come with uppers & lowers.
Then there's these...
