No worries, I also go Every Easter weekend!!! The trip we just had this past Easter was Epic!!! Check on my Easter thread........I gave a pretty good write up of our trip.....as it turned out to be one of the most fun Mojave Road trips in 20 years or more!! With the exception in the monsoon...
Yeah, fire that you can control is far better!!! I Constantly worried about every single "Snap Crackle and Pop" when burning wood even to the point that I'd try and track down the embers when they flew!!! And Always the last one to bed making sure the fires were completely out!!! Now I still...
Also, just fyi to anyone that reads this........I have permanently Banned Fire wood and open campfires from any of my trips!! So, one less thing for people to bring out......but that's not why. The Wild Fires that are burning Commiefornia to the ground is why!!!
But, we will Still have a...
Hi folks.....this is my 19th or 20th annual September Mojave Road trip!!! Not looking for a huge group anymore.....been there and done that, and got over it! But up to 7-8 trucks is the max I want to take. One reason.......is to avoid the hassle of obtaining an NPS Special Permit.......and it's...
Not a photo album JP!!! It was a trip report!!!! You didn't even bother to go, so you'll just have to rely on your memories of the past trips you've been on!! LOL!! But, the snow was an extra added bonus for our Saturday drive!!
The trip was fine, actually.....epic!! As normal, got about an hour late start, but it was fine with only three (3) trucks instead of 6 (six).....so we made up some time. But because of the 100000 acre fire last year, camp spots have changed, so we travel a little extra and go down Watson's Wash...
How about instead of making up a lame excuse of something came up, just admit that you can’t handle the weather! Anyway, it’s sunny and 81 * right now! It’s beautiful out here!!
Are you familiar with the area at all? I can give you coordinates to where I think we're camping and you can meet us there Sat. morning for breakfast! As with just the three tucks (ironically, we all work together) we're not going to be in a rush to hit the road Saturday morning (weather...
Really.......at the very last minute??:rage: That really sucks, I was looking forward to hanging with y'all again, and representing Toyota120!! So what came up?
Yeah, I already planned on bringing my pop up after watching the weather on the news. If it says rain in Las Vegas, it more than likely will mean rain out there!! Just come prepared!! And like you said, with an area so big and vast.........just like the Las Vegas Valley.........it could be...
Well, I'm pissed!! I Always pay Extra $$$$ for perfect weather!!!! So, someone needs to give me my $$$$ back according to the forecast!!! LoL!!! Here's the official forecast. The link will take you to the NPS Mojave site, scroll down to weather and hit the Extended forecast link.
I was watching...
Also, for those new to my trips, we try to do meals (Dinner and breakfast) in a communal fashion. I normally would put up a meal planner, and everyone fills in what they are bringing for each dinner/breakfast and basically, cooking and or serving up so everyone gets to try something from...
Right on! Have a safe drive down. And again, unless you need to have extra gas for the ride down, bring your Scepter cans empty.......gas at the Smiths in Ft Mohave is $2-3.00 less per gallon than anywhere in Commiefornia!! Save $$$ where you can on a road trip!!!

Hey everyone!! Hope y'all are good and looking forward to hitting the trail soon!! Also, to remind everyone, as I forgot to do so on the September trip......let's remember to bring out some type of FROG statue for the FROG Shrine that we'll be visiting on...
Yeah, most stay at the Avi, nice enough place, inexpensive rooms, good food......so you don't have to cook and get a good breakfast in you and a shower!!! If you are bringing a dog, not sure if they allow dogs, they may......but there are a couple of motels on the AZ side of the River in...
I guess it depends on how much time off you have. It's a lot longer drive from Phoenix than Las Vegas. A lot of out of state attendees seem to opt to come up Thursday night and either grab a cheap hotel room at the Avi, or a motel on the AZ side, or camp out at the Big Bend NV State campground...
