    Air compressors

I also have a 1.5 gallon Puma. Put it in 4 years ago and it still going strong and have zero issues. From 12 to 32 psi on 37”s takes about 4 minutes per tire. Long enough hose to then help buddies air up too. Also run air tools (lightly) for trail repairs, tire changes, inflates inflatable...

    Coffee Set Ups

I'm with you on this. I usually take either Vinacafe or G7 3-in-1 instant coffee. You can find them in most larger Asian stores, or online I suppose. My mom is from Vietnam and I grew up on the stuff so there's a little nostalgic connection, but the coffee is halfway decent. Could be a little...

    New Join in San Diego

Joined a few days ago, just getting around to saying hi. Like the title says I'm in San Diego. Rig is a '96 Landcruier, it was pretty well built when I bought it but I've been changing, adding, and redoing things on it for a while now. Trying to keep it as a cross between camping/overlanding rig...

    Tire Deflators

I have used a valve core removal tool and pressure gauge, screw on deflators with a pressure gauge, Staun deflators, and ARB like deflator. The fastest way to deflate is to remove the core, but then you have to measure pressure, once you get to desired pressure hold your finger on valve and then...

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

I just moved back from Europe, Germany to be specific, after living there for three years. That license plate makes me "home" sick. But to keep within topic, the last thing I bought was a fridge/freezer for the rig. Now I need to buy a roof rack since I gave up internal cargo space for the fridge!

    D ring reciever hitch

This is definitely a workable, and less expensive, alternative. I've used this method a number of times when giving a light tug to vehicles without other attachment points. However, I recommend you try to get your strap into your receiver before settling on this solution. Some of the wider and...

Winch powered by Starting or Auxiliary power? What do you recommend?

I'm also in the camp of running a winch from your starter. Doing so allows you to draw power from the alternator, and winches like power. If you are able to (via pedal or throttle lock) get your RPMs up while winching, that'll help too.

Why ham radio vs cb radio??

Not entirely true as anyone can legally transmit on ham bands in the event of an emergency. If you do not have a license you cannot legally transmit if it is not an emergency, even simplex to other vehicles in your group. CB and ham both have their place. I run both. I bought a CB for...
