Haha! The extra size would be nice but in my opinion it's just too long. Maybe you'll like it but here's the 2000.

Not going to lie it's going to be long. If you mount it outside the hatch you'll be able to have it centered better but if not you'll be looking at it through the windshield. Granted it's a 3rd gen but here it is on an OB members former car.

No problem! My reason was the Duracell Platinum used to be a rebranded Odyssey but I'm not sure if it still is. Welcome! Glad to hear you're enjoying your Subaru. Nice. Did you mean 2500 or the 2000?

I changed my OE battery out after a year. The new 4 cylinder (6 isn't much better) Outback comes with a really poor CCA group 25 battery. I swapped in a group 34 775 CCA AGM Duracell.

...but it's a Subaru Outback?! Build thread.

Thanks! Haha, thank you! Thank you! The aftermarket support for off road Subaru's is getting better as more and more people are getting their cars dirty. That said we're still left to figure out a lot of stuff on our own. In regards to the G015s, they do very well in the snow. Admittedly a...

The wife and I took our 19 month old son camping for the first time this weekend. All things considered it went really well but mom and dad didn't get much sleep haha. Alps Mountaineering tent kept us dry despite an all night thunderstorm. It may not go up or down super quickly but it's solid...

    Crosstrek Suspension Help

Well thats only partially true with the ADF lift. The front suspension isn't but the rear is a body lift IF you use the multilink spacers. Unfortunately there isn't much beyond higher spring rate springs when it comes to the the actual struts. That said people do quite a lot on the OE...

Nice. The bumper guard really is a quality functional piece. I've beat mine up on multiple occasions with only powder coat scars to show for it. Most recently I had the weight of the car on its nose coming off of a very steep hill. Front tires were light while the rear tires drug the nose and I...

Well it's impossible to say at this point what sort of replacement frequency we're talking about. It could be a long time or maybe it'll only be the most likely troublesome one, the right front. My point is that it's all speculation but in the end I'm comfortable with it and I like having the...

Great stuff so far everyone. I know we have a quite a few new Subaru members and I'd love to see them find their way to this thread.

    Another Subaru Build Thread

It's super easy to try it either way with the rear sway bar Terry. You don't even need to lift the car to remove/install it. I won't remove my front sway bar because I still drive aggressively (for an off road 2 ton long roof) on the road so I finally decided to make custom quick disconnect...

    Another Subaru Build Thread

As you know Terry, I run front/rear lift springs with higher springrates and it rides very close to when it was all stock. The key is weight just like @Delux2769 pointed out. I carry additional weight all the time so that certainly helps. When I'm loaded up for the weekend it rides like a...

So to replace the grille I had to remove the bumper guard, front skid plate, tow hook, and the entire bumper cover... Not going to lie Subaru, it should be easier than that haha. It was a great opportunity to delete the OE daytime running light module which uses the high beams running at...

Thank you! Well with 173 gerbils under the bonnet it's not exactly a high hp/tq situation haha. To be honest the only concern I have is the CVs. Their life will undoubtedly be shortened because of the angles the lift places on them. More specifically the shorter fronts. It's generally the only...

It's pretty easy/straightforward. These pics should walk you through it but feel free to DM if you have any specific questions.

Not much of one but an update nonetheless. Been swamped with work and life in general lately but I'm hopefully getting a chance to knock out some checklist items. Some aesthetic and some functional. I'm hoping to pull the bumper today and finally install my JDM Subaru Legacy grille which is just...
