Sooo- I was driving the Jeep around last night with my son.... and it just DIED! It was like I ran out of gas. My gas gauge in not working right now, so I thought maybe I miscalculated my mileage. So, I put about two gallons from my jerry can in the tank. I cranked it for as long as I...
Idaho is high on my list for retirement locations. We have some distant relatives that live there and they constantly rave about how wonderful it is. My wife has some pretty strict criteria though. She's shot down several of my other candidates. I want an alpine location but high on her list...
It appears you can wear ear plugs for hearing protection, but not a headset (IN CALIFORNIA). It also seems that you could wear a headset over one ear, and an ear plug in the other.
Here's the actual California code section:
27400.
A person operating a motor vehicle or bicycle may not wear...
I just got my Cal4Wheel newsletter and they had several California runs advertised. I've been on a couple of their runs before, and they were always well organized and run events.

Sooooo, I graduated to a camp cot. I'm not a small guy, so I went with the TETON UNIVERSAL LE :
I also use the...

I use a camp dutch oven, which we already have because we do much of our cooking in it.
I place a trivet down, then put the dutch oven lid upside down on the trivet. The pizza goes on the inside of the lid, and the "pot" of...
Have you looked into a complete wiring harness like the Painless Wiring Kit?
Based on what I see from you pictures, it looks like your electrical is a "gut and replace" situation.
I also replaced my distributor with an HEI. Simplified the wiring and improved performance.

I made a Dutch Oven stand out of a plow disc and three legs of pipe. I'm sure you could use the same design to make a plow disc cooker.
The pipe end is welded or drilled and bolted on to the plow disc. Then you attach legs of whatever length suits your needs. When you're done...
