I'd love to see one built up. In college I had a modded manual 95 short bed 2wd with the 5.2 and man could that thing destroy tires. That thing was an impractical blast haha.
Haha I’ll say no because it’s going to be a good time. Should be a lot different from last year when I was up there on my way to expo. It was incredibly dry. Not a single water crossing had water flowing.
Sorry to hear you won't be driving down with us but looking forward to seeing/meeting you both in NC.
Not going to lie Hank... I'm getting pretty excited haha.
Flying solo again this year. My wife is just too busy with work. Hopefully the little guy will be traveling with me more next year.
Better check the 14 day forecast... just saying.
Haha @NovaBound! Unfortunately the event fire pits won’t be in the camp area but a member we camped with last year brought a propane firepit that we enjoyed. I think it’s a safe guess it will return this year with overnight temps dipping into the 30’s.
Glad you can make it! Links to both the...
Just a couple weeks to go! Mine as well bump this thread and see if we have any more people interested in joining or meeting up with either of the caravans listed.
Based on all the information I’ve seen @Cpol it looks like it’ll be somewhere in the “East Camp” area. We will do our best to pick the most advantageous area but you’re generally at the mercy of where they tell you to go once you arrive.
Glad to help.
This is a great alternative and very functional. My family has been using color matched line x in the same fashion for years.
The wheel arch moldings make a huge difference if you ask me. If I could go back in time I would have gone with the version that I believe is available...
Sorry to say it but the US version Outbacks have holes in the doors for the plastic 'pins' the trim panels mount to. This isn't from a 4th gen but it gives you an idea.
As far as a reason why they're different... markets. I agree with you that the trim appears more rugged but apparently that...
I was tagging him on this thread @Janie so that he could see some of the members from Florida who have posted. If they haven’t already someone should take the lead on organizing a caravan from the south.
If you’re planning on meeting up with us please RSVP as going on the Rally Point page so that I can have an accurate head/rig count. I want to make sure we have everyone before we leave Papas and it also helps when I talk to them so they know an approximate number of ‘overlanders’ to expect haha.
I wish I could answer that for you but I’m guessing that’ll be determined when we get there. It’s looking like we’re going to have a pretty large group and I know there will be a lot of OB flags in the the air so we should be easy to spot.
Looked like everyone had a great time @GratefulFozzie! Wish I could have made it but I just got home from Chicago.
It’s my understanding that the Pajero II airbox is the way to go on SH Foresters.
Glad to see all the places you’re going and good times you’re having with your Subaru! Looks like it’s time for a lift and some ‘protection’ @Smileyshaun.
